It’s kind of a slow time this time of the year. It’s cold, there’s no light, no snow, no sunsets or sunrises. There haven’t even been any handballs games this week.
But i’m making plans for 2016. I think it’ll be a good year. We have a trip planned to Berlin in the spring and i’m going with the handball team to a large tournament in April. Also, i’m planning at least two road trips with camera in hand.
We have some pretty amazing sceneries in Scandinavia that i really want to see. I am in the process of planning a road trip to Norway this summer. I want to photograph some fjords and Hardangervidda.
The southeast part of Sweden, Österlen, is an area i have visited many times but not since photography became an obsession. There’s one place in particular i’d like to shoot. It Ales Stones, which is a megalith monument in a very beautiful location. I bet it would be great to photograph at sunset.
In Berlin, i’m not planning to take the japanese tourist approach and document as many landmarks as possible with my camera. Instead, i hope to be able to do some street photography with my Fujifilm X100T. I haven’t really used it a lot yet but it bet it’s great for travel and street photography
One landmark that i really want to see is the holocaust monument in Berlin.
Of course i will be spending more time following my advice from this post about travel photography at home. Stockholm is a beautiful city and the archipelago is very beautiful and easily accessible.
Also, i’d like to photograph more in the Stockholm subway. It’s a very interesting environment. I took this one last year.
